Oh, oh. Tough crowd h’uh? Recalcitrants, all of them!

It might be a long road from here, however, the journey can be completed.  You won’t be the first or the last to turn around a tough situation.  It is time to go back to basics.  Have a really good think about how you are working with your stakeholders.  You will need to take the time to deeply understand them and how it got this bad. You need to feel all the pain they are feeling, including when they are dealing with you.  Only then can you start to find the path forward.

The path forward can be exciting.  Soon you will be able to find new solutions to old problems.  With some thoughtfulness about how you communicate, the words you choose, the diagram you can draw and the stories you can tell can help you cut through all the history and open their eyes.
